Shanghai Pudong Malleable Iron plant was established in 1971. Professional in pipe fitting manufacturing, located at No. 558, Hongxing Rd, Caolu Town, Pudong. Shanghai. The company is owned by Pudong Industry Group.

SPMI covered over 20000m2 in space and has over 300 employee which 50% of whom workedin SPMI over 20 years, whom are full of professional skills and managements. There are total 12 people in Quality management and 24 inspectors inside foundry.

Currently SPMI has 3 sets of furnaces including (2 sets of 0.7ton and one set of 1.5ton) Monthly melting ability is 500tons. Except that one sub-foundry located at Wujiangjiang in Jiangsu Province covered 10000 m2 space and about 100 employees with the melting capacity 300tons.

SPMI has 50sets of taping and threading machines with the machining capacity over 1000tons.

Chemical dock analyzer is installed to monitoring the chemical elements to control the quality. For last 10years there is no Customer claim issue happed on Ductile Iron.

Director Tao Shushan worked in SPMI over 30years starting from a senior technical worker. For last 3oyears, main changes and new technical achievements has become the “Model Template” in this industry. From 1980’s his research has been published in the books which has been used in teaching material. SPMI has become the biggest manufacturer of pipe fitting over Shanghai Area.

SPMI has set a full quality management system. ISO9001:2000 Certificated since 1999. UL/ULC/FM/KS also certified.

Main Issue for SPMI:

Year 1988, First Chinese manufacture exported Cast Iron Pipe fitting to US market.

Year 1997, First Chinese manufacture exported Ductile Iron Pipe Fitting to US market.

Year 1997, First Chinese manufacture implemented 100% air pressure during the threading process.

Year 1998, First Chinese manufacture is authorized and accepted by Water Supplies Department of Hongkong

Year 2002, First Chinese manufacture is authorized and accepted by the Japan Fire Equipment Inspection Institute.

Year 2005, First Chinese manufacture produced qualified ANPT threading taps.
